24/07/2011 - Canopy deck and firewall gussets

Canopy deck first.  Drilled and dimpled.  I had to redo the countersinks on the longerons as they were not deep enough.  I used some Alodine to protect the holes as I had removed the paint.

Careful measuring required, but once that is done they were drilled into place.  To get them to fit I had to file the firewall edge of the gusset to get the correct fit.  This is a throw back to the RV-6 apparently, so pretty much all RV7 owners file about 1/8 " to get a flush fit and angle between firewall and longeron.
